Warrior Leadership Summit Conference in Illinois

NANE President Ryan O’Leary was invited to be speak at the annual Warrior Leadership Summit Conference in Illinois the first part of July. Ryan used to be the Administrator for On Eagles’ Wings ministry many years ago, and it was a blessing for Ryan to be able to reconnect with this ministry and speak at this annual conference for tribal young people between the ages of 16-35 years of age. Approximately 550 young people attended this conference from various parts of North America.

Ryan spoke in a battle council/workshop about the topic of Jesus and real manhood to males attending this conference. Ryan shared about how males today need an example to follow and why Jesus is the best example. Next, he shared that Jesus lived with purpose and how every person, including every male tribal member, can live a life of purpose as well.

Ryan then shared about how Jesus had a vision for his life, and that every young man needs a vision as well. He shared how Jesus had a vision to die on the cross, rise from the dead, and ascend to God the Father’s right hand in heaven. He went on to share that every young person can have a vision to follow as well, and that includes becoming more like Jesus. But also stressed that God can give individuals a specific vision for their lives. Ryan shared how in the Old Testament, God gave Joseph a specific vision for his life, and Ryan also shared his personal story about how God gave him a vision to lead and to preach.

Ryan was blessed to be able to connect with a number of young people at this conference and to see old friends again. Part of the NANE vision is to equip the church, and what Ryan did at this conference was to equip young men how to follow the example of a Jesus who came from His own tribe, the tribe of Judah.
